Recession proof

My time here at UNA is quickly coming
to an end, and with graduation just around the comer, I have been asking myself what will be the next step in my life?
I've been thinking about it, and I believe that I'm graduating at the wrong time. I've been in school for five long years and now I'm lucky enough to be graduating while the country is in a recession.
With no jobs likely to be coming my way, I have to find something that I can do with all of the free time that I'm going to have.
When I graduate, it is likely that I will have to start working full time at Le Beau's Coffee Shop, and while being a professional barista might seem like a one-way ticket to super-funsburg, I'm not looking forward to it.
There's just something
wrong with having
a fancy degree from UNA that you have worked for five years to get that makes a guy not want to have to hang out in the mall making drinks for people who can't even say cappuccino.
Over these last five years feel that I have gotten gooder with the English language
and that Dr. Martin has learned me how to write in the journalism format very well. I also feel that I have built up a nice journalism portfolio that could have guaranteed
me a job at a newspaper, if not for these tough economic times.
In a perfect world, all UNA graduates
would be able to get a high paying job starting on May 10. Also, in a perfect world, all Starbucks Coffee shops would be replaced with Bojangles famous chicken
and biscuits, but neither of those things are going to happen.
Now I'm not really a drinker, but in these though times, I'm going to need something strong to pull me through.
And what do I want to drink, you might ask? Well, I don't want anything 80 proof, 90 proof or even 100 proof, no I want something recession proof.
I need something that will knock me out until the economy recovers, because if I have to be a professional barista working in the mall, I don't want to remember it.

FYI - I saw a job opening with a paper in Moulton on the Career Services Symplicity site.

It's true that it'll be hard to find a good job right now, especially with many major newspaper companies going under. But you already have an interview so it looks like you're well on your way. (Continued…)
