Besides the concert, Hofacker said "a representative from Florence Recycling Center will be available to assist [the UNA community] in learning how to recycle all you can during the event."
She also said that the representatives from Shoals Environmental Alliance, Alabama Outdoors, and Globally Green would provide information about how to contribute to preserving the Earth and "making everyday Earth Day."
The Earth Day event at UNA this year is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Office Depot, Wild South, Alabama Renaissance City, Florence Recycling Center, Shoals Environmental Alliance, Global Green and Domino's Pizza.
Hofacker said that admission to the concert is free and the event is open to not only UNA students but also to the community.
She also said that recyclable items will be exchanged for food and drinks during the event.
In the case of rain, the event will be moved inside of the Guillot University Center, across from the UNA Amphitheater.
