Students recognized at Greek Week awards banquet

The UNA Office of Student Life sponsored the annual awards banquet during Greek Week to recognize students for exceptional work on campus and in the community.

The following students received awards:

Michael Flanery, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., unsung hero award, Alpha Tau Omega; Michael Butz, of Russellville, fraternity new member of the year, Alpha Tau Omega; Whitney Hill, of Florence, sorority new member of the year, Zeta Tau Alpha; Brian Milster, of Hoover, fraternity president of the year, Pi Kappa Alpha; Jody McKay, of Huntsville, sorority president of the year, Alpha Gamma Delta; Chris Smith, of Florence, fraternity athlete of the year, Sigma Chi; Christina Meherg, of Cullman, sorority athlete of the year, Alpha Gamma Delta; Laura Beth Mastroianni, of Odenville, outstanding community servant, Alpha Gamma Delta; Kiel Adams, of Ardmore, Inter-fraternity Council man of the year, Sigma Alpha Epsilon; Kellie Belue, of Anderson, Panhellenic woman of the year, Phi Mu; Marcus Brimley, of Pinson, National Pan-Hellenic member of the year, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; Jonathan Fleming, of Russellville, Inter-fraternity Council highest cumulative grade point average for Fall 2004, Alpah Tau Omega; Mackenzie Moore, of Montgomery, Panhellenic Council new member highest cumulative grade point average for Fall 2004, Phi Mu; Laura Beth Mastroianni, of Odenville, Panhellenic Council member overall highest grade point average for fall 2004, Alpha Gamma Delta.

The following students were inducted into the Greek Hall of Fame:

Justin Caldwell, of Gruetti-Laagar, Tenn., Kappa Sigma; Kiel Adams, of Ardmore, Sigma Alpha Epsilon; Laura Beth Mastroianni, of Odenville, Alpha Gamma Delta; LaTonya Young, of Tuscaloosa, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Marcus Brimley, of Pinson, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; Joseph Carroll, of Hazel Green, Alpha Tau Omega; and Josh Wrady, of Muscle Shoals, Kappa Sigma.

The following students were inducted into the Order of Omega, a national honor society whose members include the top three percent of Greek leaders on campus:
