New communications concentration gives students hands-on experience

Film and Digital Media Production is a new concentration in the Communications major that began last semester. The founder of the program is Professor Jason Flynn. Students in the program receive a broad range of experience in all facets of the filmmaking process, including screenwriting, cinematography, directing and editing.

A look back at UNA George Lindsey Film Festival

The George Lindsey Film Festival is a well-known tradition at UNA, dating back to its founding in 1998 by its namesake, George Lindsey; though perhaps best known for his work on The Andy Griffith Show, Lindsey has a variety of television and film appearances to his credit, having appeared on The Twilight Zone, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Gunsmoke and MASH.

Choir presents 'Turn of the Millenium' concert

On Tuesday, March 9, the UNA Department of Music and Theatre presents "Turn of the Millennium: Choral Gems From 1990-2010." The concert will feature the UNA Chamber Choir, Vocal Jazz Ensemble and University Chorale in a program of modern choral music from around the world and right here at home.

Adelitas Way breaks genre barriers

(Review) I really had high hopes for this band. I honestly did. I'm a huge fan of rock, so when Virgin Records sends me an album to review from a few of their recent artists and one of them happens to be a rock band, I'm all over it. The band even has great credentials.
