Super Bowl XLIV could be an instant classic

It's the most wonderful time of the year for sports fans. Feb. 7 will pit a classic showdown of the No. 1 team from the AFC against the No. 1 team from the NFC. Super Bowl XLIV should follow the trend of the past two years, proving to be an intense and entertaining game.

Lambuth Eagles beat both UNA basketball teams

Both the men and women's basketball teams made a short trip north to Jackson, Tenn. to face the Lambuth Eagles last Thursday night. UNA had significant struggles in the second half and score droughts for six and seven minutes. LU, from the Mid-South Conference, took advantage of the men's poor shooting in the second half and held consistent strong defensive pressure throughout the entire match.

Replacement players lead AFC to victory

Matt Schaub threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns in the 2010 National Football League Pro Bowl game Sunday as the American Football Conference beat the National Football Conference 41-34 in Miami, Fla. Schaub, who was not originally selected to play in the all-star game, found Houston Texans teammate Andre Johnson and Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall in the end zone in the first quarter to help him earn the most valuable player honor.
