Pt. 6: Apathy pays off for once

When I last left you, I was complaining about the difficulties of finding an affordable wedding dress that actually fit. After trips to H u n t s v i l l e , Birmingham and all over the Shoals area I realized that maybe I was trying too hard. So, to the chagrin of my mother and other worrywarts in my life, I stopped looking for my dress.

Get your tailgate in gear!

Colbert Report visits Tuscumbia

Yeah, yeah, we all know the county's name is pronounced "Colbert," with the emphasis on the first syllable, a sort of schwa-sounding "e" and a "t" that's pronounced aloud. But there's no sense in trying to tell that to Stephen Colbert--or at least the character he plays on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report.

Scholarships for Spring Semester

The Student Publications will have three slots to fill for Spring Semester 2007. The Flor-Ala will lose its graphic artist and its sports editor, and the Diorama will lose an associate editor to graduation in December. Anyone interested should apply now.
