I am going to go out on a limb and assume that (nearly) no one knew that there has been a legal battle for nine years about the sale of sex toys in Alabama. Am I right? Yes, I thought so.

Eastern received a figure close to $6 million on July 9, from the state, reducing the university's fiscal year 2010 budget deficit by 12 percent. The money received is a reimbursement from the state and will help avoid a monetary gap predicted for August. Prior to the state's reimbursement, Eastern's Board of Trustees was contemplating borrowing a credit line of $7 million to address the monetary gap.

Women have "Painting with a Twist," where they can go drink wine with their girlfriends and learn how to paint; "Slumber Parties," where they drink, talk about men and buy sex toys; and numerous other events aimed at female bonding.
